Getting involved

Over the past few weeks, the students here at CLA have interviewed both Mark Rossi and Dale Nannen. One question asked to Dale Nannen, was "Why are you involved?" This question, as he said, was very emotional to him and his family. He said that Reid Nannen, his son, deployed to the navy, where he passed away years later. Dale and his wife wanted to honor Reid and all the other people who served for our country in Hopedale. Dale was first asked to help with the memorial three or four years ago, to help be the "tool" for information of his son. Soon he became the construction manager for this whole project. He believes that hopefully, this memorial, will bring recognition to not only his son, but all who served to our country. I hope, he said, that through this people will once again remember and recognize those who serve to us.

This memorial will be a lasting memory for the honorable men and women who have sacrificed/are sacrificing so much of their lives to help protect us around the world. Our veterans are our heroes and we are proud to honor our local heroes with this beautiful memorial..
